STRATEGIC PLANNING
CONFIDENTIAL PHARMACEUTICAL
CORPORATE OFFICE RELOCATION
Resulting from its rapid growth in the US market, this confidential pharmaceutical client relocated to new space on all four floors of a Princeton NJ-area office building. This move presented an opportunity to develop a new planning strategy. Granum was tasked with developing their new office as a valuable business tool more adaptable to change and the needs of an evolving staff demographic. Working closely with this client's facilities and real estate group the team defined a program for the office that leveraged current thinking in workplace strategies while incorporating their company's unique culture.
The client's previous office comprised a significant percentage of large, closed offices supplemented by open workstations and traditional conference rooms, the new office provides space types for many different activities. Special project suites, heads down areas, open collaborative space, and areas that can be reconfigured as needed by the user provide staff the ability to find the right space to support their work as needs change throughout the day.
On the three upper floors, communal areas are positioned adjacent to the communicating stair that connects all four levels. These lounge and café areas provide a place of respite and refreshment during the day. The common spaces are also well-equipped for impromptu meetings with technology and full wi-fi availability. These spaces provide guests and visitors from other corporate locations a ready workplace when they are in Princeton. The first floor houses a board room, conference center, and administrative support spaces.
